Linux Distributions
This page lists some of the Linux distributions that we host or mirror–it is not an exhaustive list. To access a distribution, simply click on its title. You will find a link to the distribution’s homepage beneath each description.
Software Mirrors
ibiblio (then called SunSITE) began mirroring open source software in 1992, and was one of only three such repositories available on the internet. Now almost 30 years later mirroring and open source software has evolved.
The list represents software mirrors that ibiblio currently hosts, or used to host. In the event that we don't currently host a mirror, a link to the software's homepage is provided.
Virtual Field Trips
Field trips are a vital part of learning in schools, they enhance curriculum by allowing students to see the topics they are learning about in action. For a whole host of reasons, actual field trips are not always practical, and can be limiting to places that exist in the present time and that you can travel to. But thanks to the magic of the internet and host of ibiblio and other resources, we can still plan virtual field trips that allow students to benefit from exploring.
This exhibit has gathered together resources from ibiblio and beyond to help you plan your virtual field trips for class or just for travel fun.
