I graduated from NCSSM in 1999
and from UNC in 2003 with a
double major in linguistics and German. I spent a wonderful year in Heidelberg in 2001-2002 and took
a lot of computational and Germanic linguistics classes. While at UNC,
I worked at PANIC in the physics
department and at ibiblio.org.
While I was abroad, I attempted to keep journal.
I'm currently working on my Ph.D. in computational linguistics at Ohio State. I worked on a research project about finding and correcting errors in corpus annotation (DECCA) and my own research is related to syntactic annotation, data-driven parsing for freer word order languages, and intelligent computer-aided language learning. There is more information on my page at OSU.
