Welcome to the Pediatric Rheumatology Casebook at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill

Pediatric Rheumatology Casebook

If this is your first visit, please take a minute to read through the information on this page. It contains some useful instructions and essential information about the casebook that you will need before gaining access.

To Obtain A Password:

Due to some copyright issues that we are in the process of resolving, we are currently allowing access by password only. If you would like a password, please fill out this form and send it to us. We will reply by e-mail as soon as possible to give you access, and we appreciate your patience with this inconvenience.

Notes About This Site:

This site is dependent on frames for presentation and navigation. At this time we do not have a non-frames version, and we do not plan to implement one. If your current browser does not support frames and you would like to download one that does, try one of the following (we don't recommend one over the other, but these pages were originally optimized for Netscape Navigator):

Netscape Navigator 3.0 Microsoft Internet Explorer

This site also utilizes Javascript to open a new window on your desktop for reference materials associated with the casebook. This second window will probably be in your way at first, so simply move it aside or minimize it to use the casebook. Don't close it, because it will be useful later. Of course, you must have Javascript enabled on your browser for this feature to work properly.

Throughout the cases, we have tried to provide a way to get out of the casebook and back to the index of cases. Just look for this symbol (it may not be this size, but it's there):

Are you are looking for the UNC Case Simulator? It's on the UNC School of Medicine server. To use it, you will need to use the helper application supplied by the School of Medicine, and you will not be able to use it with a modem over a phone line. Details are available from the School of Medicine applications page.
If you find any errors of spelling, grammar or factual information, please let us know. It is most helpful to us if you note the case you're in when you find the error, on what page the error occurs and, of course, what the error is.

We also welcome any other questions, comments, or suggestions. Please address them to the Pediatric Rheumatology Webmaster at aware@sunsite.unc.edu.

Thank you if you for reading this far. There's a few more credits below, but other than that, if you have your password, feel free to move on to the Casebook.
