Women’s History Month

March is Women’s History Month in the United States! Women’s History Month and International Women’s Day (March 8th) celebrate the achievements and experiences of women in America and around the world.

Women’s Voices Chorus

Women’s Voices Chorus is an all-female choir based in North Carolina. The organization was founded in 1993 and has grown tremendously since then. WVC has performed across the United States, and group members are of all ages and experience levels. They also prioritize learning material composed by women and promoting sisterhood between chorus members.

New York Women Composers

This organization, founded in 1984, highlights and promotes concert music created by women composers in New York. NYWC has supported projects such as radio streaming, international concerts, and recordings for women pursuing music. The organization also offers grants to women hoping to perform in concerts or record their compositions. The webpage also provides a catalog containing music created by NYWC members.
