Dr. Fun

Paul says: "I love Dave F and Dr. Fun. Altho Dr Fun is in retirement he is still much loved and referred to and he even has his own Facebook group where the Dr is getting a whole new set of fans"

Darkside began in the fall of 1993 when a couple of freshmen at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill got together with the idea of forming an Ultimate Frisbe team. From these humble beginnings, grew one of the region's strongest Ultimate programs.

Ken says: "I have no idea what the actual content is like, but the flash/storyline of the website is great!"

Bawdy Ballads

This website was set up as a class project for Cybercasting and Cyberpublishing, taught by Paul Jones. It is a group effort, with research materials from from the Wilson Library North Carolina Collections, the 1997 N.C. State Fair and other personal materials.

Our Debian Mirror

Cristóbal says: "I got a late start since it was already known as ibiblio when I started, but ibiblio's debian mirror was my first source when I decided I wanted to try Linux. Having started as sunsite.unc.edu, ibiblio has a long history of providing free downloads of Free Software. Because of ibiblio's hosting of distros, documentation such as The Linux Documentation Project, and other resources for people wanting to tinker, there are multiple generations of Linux enthusiasts who know and love ibiblio."

Finding the Celtic

Finding the Celtic is an experiment to create an online digital humanities collaboratory for Celtic Studies funded by the National Endowment for the Humanities. It will enable users to locate, access, and annotate resources for Celtic Studies, to share their work and research, and to enable digital publication.

Monkey Wire

Jennifer says: "While cleaning up the collections index - I was happy to find monkeywire.org and even happier to register it in the index - cause who doesn't want to read interesting tidbits of monkey-lore? Articles range from silly to serious and all of them are about monkeys. Care to read about a Japanese macaque who steals cell phones and hides them in his cage? Check out the August '07 archive. Happy to hear that the U.S. will permanently stop breeding government owned Chimpanzees? - you can read more in the April '07 archive. If you're an animal rights activist, or just a monkey enthusiast, we think you'll like this site."

OVO

Kristina says: "I've always been fond of zines, copy / stencil / stamp / mail / etc art and the strange. The back issues of OVO (a collection of new works in the public domain) do not disappoint in these areas."
